Hello Intrepid SkyRider,

For more than a year I've been working on ways to integrate AI analysis directly into SkyGlass, and today I'm excited to finally bring that work into the light.

Meet Kestrel.

The AI-assisted aviation intelligence analyst wired directly into SkyGlass.

This first iteration is still early, but it's showing real potential. The initial goal was to make raw aviation data directly accessible to the LLM for analysis. Future development will expand into more agentic workflows, deeper analysis pipelines, and integrated how-to assistance.

The workflow is simple...

- Start with an operational dataset... live traffic or a flight history report.

- Launch a pre-crafted tactical analysis prompt for an initial structured analysis.

- Dive deeper with your own questions about the data.

All easily exportable as text or markdown.

There's a lot more to come.

Here's a bit more detail about what you can test-fly today...

As mentioned above, you can launch a structured analysis directly against:

• Live traffic currently loaded in SkyGlass

• Flight History reports

• Flight Operations reports

Then continue the workflow with follow-up analytical prompting grounded directly in the active dataset and conversation context.

Examples:

→ “What military traffic is currently active near the Mediterranean Sea?”

→ “Where are my ISR Watchlist aircraft operating right now?”
